In the Calendar Year of 2010
I shall become a Vegetarian.
For diet or morals I make no commit,
just that in '11 I may choose to quit.
If I accede to a single, 12 month year,
I feel I can keep this promise no fear.
And just to be clear, I'll not be a Vegan,
forsaking eggs or grub without reason.
Just eating healthy from marketed food,
while saving creatures without being rude.
And if in this year I shed least a gram,
It was worth it all and happy I am!
